Compared with other language learning, it is more difficult to master the Chinese writing system and memorize pictographic characters. Our Chinese language program gives formal and systematical courses on Chinese language taught by experienced TCSOL (Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) teachers.It will help to improve students’ understanding of life and history of China during the study of Chinese language.

Chinese Language course B1 (Age 6-10) mainly focuses on Hanyupinyin (Chinese phonetic system), Chinese characters and basic daily dialogues. Students will develop basic skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing and have a general understanding of Chinese culture and history.

Chinese Language course B2 (Age 11-17) mainly focuses on Hanyupinyin (Chinese phonetic system), Chinese characters and basic daily dialogues. Students will develop basic skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing and have a general understanding of Chinese culture and history. B2 has additional courses designed for students who are going to take SAT II or AP Chinese exams.

Intermediate level (Age 6-17) aims at teaching Chinese language to students with Chinese language background. The course is designed to enhance students’ competency in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Language proficiency tests are required upon admission.

Oral Chinese Classes are for people of all age who want to learn how to speak Chinese or improve their Chinese communicational skills. Multimedia will be used in class.

Classical Chinese Philosophy Class will introduce the most popular and distinguished children’s books such as Di-Zi-Gui, Three-Character and The Analects of Confucius. Classical Chinese Philosophy has been proved a great help to improve children’s personality, character and moral.
